A dozen roses in the most beautiful colors of red, yellow and peach were delivered this afternoon, along with a card which read "You're still my Valentine." They were a total surprise. I am so blessed to have such a caring husband. I am often brought to tears just remembering all the kind things he has done for me.This year marked my son's first year with an official girlfriend. He gave her one rose, a box of candy, a little heart pendant in a matchbox and a card. They spent the afternoon at a mega-mall in Portland which is half-way between her home and ours. Oh these long distance relationships can be a trial. I have not met the young lady, only spoken to her on the phone. She sounds so sweet and she just adores my son. How precious young love is.

Yes, a hubby who still knows how to "woo" is a blessing. Is it a crazy feeling to know that your son has serious (semi-serious?) feelings about a woman other than yourself? Not having a son, I can't imagine...
My daughter and her boyfriend are celebrating tomorrow. She has a long distance relationship with him also...
